Langford and Whyte in fine form as Wood win again
COOMBS Wood notched up yet another comprehensive win when they hosted Bromyard last Saturday.
They posted an impressive 415-8 in their 50 overs, with both Mike Langford (134) and skipper Carl Whyte (121) in imperious form.
Bromyard were then dismissed for 168 in 35 overs. This convincing win moved the Wood to within touching distance of the promotion places.
Next week they will welcome Evesham (1pm).
Meanwhile, the club’s second XI recorded another win themselves, this time at Belbroughton.
The seconds will be visiting Evesham next week.
