STOURBRIDGE-based sides in Division One of the Worcestershire County League were left frustrated by the weather last weekend.

All six league fixtures were washed out.

Belbroughton's clash with Cookley was abandoned when the rain hit after just one innings.

Cookley were put in to bat and made 218-8 off their allotted 44 overs, mainly thanks to an unbeaten 84 from Paul Thomas, Ben Hawker claiming 4-58 for the hosts.

It was a similar story for the second XI as Belbroughton toiled in the field at Evesham.

Jon Hawk, 5-64, and Jamie Mackenzie, 4-96, came out with some credit however could not prevent the home side amassing 299. The rain again came before the chase could begin.

However, the club's third XI were able to complete a match. Stone compiled 271-5 thanks to 152 from James Batsford before Belbroughton secured the losing draw by reaching 224-5. Justin Gray, 60, Ryan Cook, 64*, and Matt Evans, 47 all turning in notable performances.

Back in Division One, Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social's clash at Burghill, Tillington and Weobley also fell victim to the wet conditions.

The same fate befell Pedmore's clash with Hagley.

This Saturday will see Belbroughton visit Hagley, while Pedmore travel to Colwall. Oldswinford and Stour Social welcome Droitwich. All games are set to start at 1pm.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Enville and Lye were also hit by the rain as they attempted to take on Alvechurch & Hopwood and Wormelow respectively.

Enville will host Wormelow this Saturday and Lye will welcome Bromyard (both 1pm start).
