DUDLEY boxer Ryan Aston is set to return to the ring to take on Nathan Graham in Wolverhampton on October 3.

The Priory Park pugilist will meet the former Southern Area champion in an eliminator contest for the English light-middleweight championship.

'Tank' Aston (15-2-2), considered unlucky in some quarters not to get the decision over Jason Welborn in a Midlands-title challenge in June, will look to further banish that defeat with success over Graham (17-6-1) in front of Box Nation cameras at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

PJ Rowson, in association with Frank Warren, is staging the show that sees Birmingham middleweight Tommy Langford top the bill as he defends his WBO Intercontinental title.

And up at light-heavyweight, Black Country fighter Ricky Summers (9-0) steps up to 10 rounds to meet Sam Couzens (11-16-2) for the vacant British Challenge Belt.

Aston-Graham and Summers-Couzens were both scheduled for a show in Dudley on Friday, September 18.

That show has now been cancelled and the fights have been switched to Wolverhampton, meaning Tyler Denny (2-0) and Les Byfield (1-1) will also box in front of the cameras, along with debutant Josh Miller, the ex-Priory Park amateur.

Also on the show, Middlesbrough light-welterweight Josh Leather, 2012 ABA champion and 7-0 in the pros, will be matched along with Lyon Woodstock, the hammer-fisted Leicester super-featherweight who's been labelled a mini-Nigel Benn after powering to back-to-back stoppage wins.

This will be the third BoxNation-televised show promoted in the last 15 months from Wolverhampton Civic and further information is available from 07976-283157. Call the box office on 0870 320 7000.
