DUDLEY Sports will go into this Saturday’s season opener without four keys players.

Lewis Craig is suspended for the West Midlands Premier game at Wolverhampton Casuals while Tom Watkins, Curtis Cocking and Josh Taylor are also absent.

Their loss leaves manager Tony Gore’s men short in central midfield as they aim to make a good start to the season.

Gore said: “It is hard to know if we will be able to cope with the losses but it is now up to the other players to perform.

“It is going to be tough but we have got to get on with it. We may try and get someone in before the start but nothing has happened so far.

“Ultimately, those that are picked on the day will have the shirt and the opportunity to keep it. It could open the door for someone else.

“I have been both pleased and disappointed with our pre-season workouts.

“I will be taking the positives from it though and hoping we can make a good start.”
