DUDLEY Town chairman Steve Austin is keen to keep the current crop of players together next season.

The Robins sit in a low mid-table position at present but Austin has been impressed with the progress the group has made during the current campaign.

"It is always difficult to tell what will happen but I'm hopefully we can keep the majority of our current players," he said.

"The signs look good and we can hopefully add a few more and build next season.

"We had to rebuild once more this year so it would be good to not have to start again. We have a good group and the players have done really well.

"The football side of things is in really good shape. I really believe in the management team and the players. The key is to now move forwards again."

Dudley lost 3-2 away at Pegasus Juniors last Saturday despite a brace from Rion Francis-Mills. The loss means they have not won in three games.

Town had opened the scoring in the first ten minutes but found themselves 3-1 down at the break. Mills' double reduced the deficit but the visitors could get any closer.

"It was a good performance and we were unlucky not to take something from the game," added Austin.

"We haven't won in three but the performances have been good. It's not a concern, I think results will follow soon."

Town take on Wellington Amateurs at the Dell this Saturday.

The club are on the lookout for a commercial manger and new kit man. Anyone interested should contact Steve Austin on 07412046050.
