CHAIRMAN Steve Austin was left frustrated by Dudley Town's defending after they slipped to their fifth consecutive defeat.

The Robins lost 4-2 at home to Ellesmere Rangers last Saturday.

He said: "We didn't do too badly against Ellesmere but gave ourselves too much to do by conceding early goals.

"We dominated the second half but couldn't get anything from the game.

"We are guilty of too many defensive lapses and are finding it difficult to stop goals.

"All we can do is try to battle our way out of it and keep working hard."

Dudley will take on near neighbours Cradley Town at the Dell Stadium this Saturday.
