LENNOX Clarke is ready to take his frustration out on Raimonds Sneidze when the pair meet next Friday.

Clarke (4-0) was due to face Lincoln journeyman Ryan Clark in Bedworth on September 27 but picked up an injury on the eve of the contest.

The Halesowen super middleweight strained his back doing some last minute pad work and, after six weeks of training, had to pull out at the 11th hour.

It was the source of great frustration for the 23-year-old but now he is fit, raring to go and ready to make an example of Sneidze.

“I hate picking up little niggles but it’s the game,” said Clarke. “It’s just one of those things. I was feeling great and was just doing a bit of last minute pads when I tweaked my back. It was frustrating for everyone. It happens though and you’ve got to be 100 per cent if you’re going to get in the ring.

“It’s annoying after working so hard and getting ready for a fight but I’ve been lucky that Errol Johnson, my manager, has been able to get me back out so soon.

“I don’t know much about Sneidze but, after the last couple of weeks of camp, I know he’s in for a hard night. It’s been a frustrating few weeks but I’m going to take all my frustration out on him.

“I’ve been sparring with Adam Harper, who debuts on the show, and we’ve both been pushing each other on. It’s going to be a good night of boxing and I just can’t wait to get back in that ring now. Adam is facing the brother of the lad I’m fighting so we’re both ready to do a job on them.”

Clarke appears on ‘Lords of the Manor’ at Hatherley Manor Hotel, Cheltenham, on Friday, October 24.

He is joined on EJKO Promotions’ show by former Western Counties Senior Elite ABA Champion, Adam Harper, who will make his professional debut against Raimond’s brother, Edgars Sneidze. The 26-year-old from Tewkesbury will debut at light middleweight.

Gloucester welterweight, Todd Roberts, takes on Barnsley’s Jamie Zaszlos whilst Worcester’s Michael Mooney faces Tamworth’s Matt Seawright.
