VOTERS go to the polls today (Thursday May 2) to elect those they wish to represent them on Dudley Council and who they want to return as Mayor of the West Midlands and as the region’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

All 72 seats are up for grabs on the council - and 173 polling stations across the borough will be open from 7am to 10pm tonight (Thursday) for residents to cast their votes.

Voters must use the polling station indicated on their polling card and take along appropriate photo ID.

The votes will be counted on Friday May 3 at Stourbridge's Crystal Leisure Centre to determine who will lead the local authority.

Keep an eye on our websites and social feeds for coverage from the count. Results will be published as they come in.

A final result for the council election is expected late afternoon on Friday May 3, while votes for the West Midlands Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner elections will be counted on Saturday May 4.
