PLANS to convert four new Dudley houses into care homes for children with " complex mental health conditions" have gone in to Dudley Council.
An application for a change of use of the four homes between nos. 30 and 38 on New Rowley Road was registered on December 5.
It has been lodged by applicant New Era Residence, which is based in Birmingham.
The firm says on its website: "We are a specialised hospital avoidance admission service for young people between the ages of 16-24 with complex mental health conditions.
"We provide residential accommodation with onsite therapy support to ensure we meet the needs of our young people.
"We work closely with local and wide authorities, acute and community CAMHs teams, CCGs and health and social commissioners to avoid tier 4 admissions by providing holistic care, support and education within the community."
The application, in the St. Thomas's Ward, can be viewed on Dudley Council's planning website under ref P23/1376.
