AN investigation is being carried out after vehicles crashed on the visitor car park at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

The incident happened on Monday March 20.

A member of the public reported seeing several smashed cars on the main visitor car park at the borough's main hospital, including one in a bush, at around 4.30pm.

Bosses at Russells Hall Hospital confirmed medics were called to the drama which they said is now being investigated by the company that manages the hospital trust’s car parks.

Diane Wake, chief executive of the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are aware of a vehicle collision which took place yesterday on our visitor car park at Russells Hall Hospital.

“Our medical emergency team attended the scene.

“The incident is now being investigated by our PFI partners, Mitie, who manage our hospital car parks.”

Mitie has declined to comment further on what happened.
