A MAN has been charged in connection with an incident were a man suffered burns during an alleged attack in Edgebaston.

Mohammed Abbkr, aged 28 from Edgbaston in Birmingham, is charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Abbkr is alleged to have sprayed a substance on two men and set it alight in separate incidents in Ealing and Birmingham on 27 February and 20 March.

He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court toda (March 23) following an investigation etween West Midlands Police, Counter Terrorism Policing and the Metropolitan Police.

Police are continuing to appeal for information, CCTV or doorbell footage of the allged incidents.

During the Birmingham incident, on Brixham Road, Mohammed Rayaz, aged 70, who was walking home from a mosque suffered burns to his face which were described as serious but not life threatening.
