DUDLEY'S highways chiefs say work to repair a burst water main on Trindle Road, Dudley, is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
South Staffordshire Water is undertaking emergency repair works at the junction of Porter Street, using multi-way signals.
Dudley Council's highways department has requested the signals are manually operated from 7am to 7pm due to the close proximity of fixed signals at Hall Street and ongoing works by Midland Metro Alliance on King Street also using temporary signals.
Network manager Andrew Sumner said: "It is likely that congestion and disruption in this area will be significant whilst works are ongoing despite the manual control, therefore motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where available."
He said the works are scheduled for completion on Friday October 7.
