A REWARD is being offered for information that could lead to the capture of a wanted man believed to have kidnapped and stabbed a woman in the midlands.

Crimestoppers is appealing for the public to contact them immediately if they know the whereabouts of 41-year-old Lee Martin, with a £3,000 reward announced.

Lee Martin is thought to be in the West Midlands area and is believed to be armed. He is wanted on suspicion of stabbing and kidnapping a woman in the Solihull area on Sunday, September 5.

Thankfully, the woman, who is known to Martin, managed to safely escape and her injuries were minor, Crimestoppers said.

Martin made off in a car when police attempted to arrest him the following day.

Mick Duthie, director of operations at the charity Crimestoppers, said: “Lee Martin is a dangerous man who needs to be taken off the streets to protect the public. This is why our charity is supporting the police by offering a reward and appealing for anonymous information.

“If you know where Lee Martin is, I urge you not to approach him but to speak to us completely anonymously by calling our UK Contact Centre which is open 24/7 on freephone number 0800 555 111 or you can use our simple and secure anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

“We know it can be difficult to talk about crime or those involved in illegal activity, especially if they are close to home, which is why our charity is here to help. We give people an option of remaining totally anonymous. If you know of Lee Martin’s location, please tell us - nobody will know you contacted us, and you may be eligible for a reward.”

Information passed directly to police will not qualify. The reward will only qualify for information given exclusively to the charity Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or via the simple and secure anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
