AFTER the first ‘Live At The Civic’ comedy club at Brierley Hill Civic Hall proved such a massive hit, organisers have already announced the line-up for the second gig.

The borough’s comedy fans are in for a treat as popular TV comics Mark Watson and Joe Lycett join the Black Country’s own Jonny Cole on the bill for February 18, 2017.

Tickets are now on sale, priced at £10 if they are snapped up before midnight on Sunday (July 31).

The announcement of a second show comes after more than 500 people packed into the civic hall to see Doc Brown, Paul Tonkinson and The Fizzogs for the inaugural show earlier this month.

Promoter and Dudley comic Wayne Beese said: “It was unbelievable to see so many people turn out for the first gig. It was packed.

“The feedback we had on the night and for days afterwards was overwhelmingly positive, so we moved quickly to put on another date by popular demand.

“It's some way away, in February next year, but we hope to put three shows on in 2017, and the earlier people book their tickets, the less they have to pay and the better seat they will get.

“If people book before the end of July they will be able to get tickets for just £10, which is an absolute steal for a bill of this quality.”

The second ‘Live Ct The Civic’ show will bring award-winning stand-up and author Mark Watson, a familiar face to fans of comedy, to Brierley Hill.

The Bristolian has appeared on a whole host of TV shows including Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You, Argumental and Would I Lie To You?

Alongside Mark will be Birmingham funny man Joe Lycett who is currently one of comedy’s hottest properties and an increasingly familiar face on our TV screens.

Appearances include 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Sunday Night At The Palladium, Celebrity Squares, Celebrity Juice and Celebrity Deal Or No Deal, while he has just landed a role presenting hotly-tipped new Sky One show The Big Spell alongside Sue Perkins and Moira Stuart.

Black Country-based Cole completes the line-up and boasts a growing profile following appearances at The Glee Club and several viral Youtube videos.

Wayne, 36, who also hosts the show, added: “We're absolutely delighted with the line-up. All three are top, top acts.

“We would urge people not to miss out and get booked up.”
