A BLAZE which destroyed a Dudley snooker hall is being treated as arson, police have confirmed today (Monday, May 25).
More than 40 firefighters tackled a huge fire Dudley Snooker and Pool Club in Stafford Street, which broke out in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning.
The building was left structurally unsafe as a result and is set to be pulled down later this week. It remains cordoned off.
West Midlands Police today confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.
A spokesman said: "The incident is being treated as arson and we are in the early stages of our investigation.
"We would appeal for any witnesses to contact us with information."
The clean up operation has continued into today with firefighters at the scene this morning.
