FOUR people including a baby were injured in a three-car smash near Kidderminster today (Sunday May 24).

West Midlands Ambulance Service and fire crews from Kidderminster and Stourport were called to Callow Hill just after 12 noon when a community first responder came across the accident.

A family of four were travelling in one of the cars and the crash saw a teenage girl suffer pelvic pain while a man, woman and a baby received minor injuries.

A woman, aged in her 50s, who was driving another car, suffered neck pain as a result of the accident.

All five were taken to hospital for further treatment. A woman in a third car was assessed at the scene but did not require treatment.

Three ambulances together with a paramedic support officer in a rapid response car attended the scene while firefighters made the area safe and cleared up debris.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A community first responder came across the three vehicle collision and raised the alarm.

“A woman in her fifties was treated for neck pain. She was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board before being transferred to hospital.

“A family travelling in the second car involved were all conveyed to hospital. A female teenager was treated for pelvic pain and a male and female together with a baby received minor injuries.

“A women travelling in the third vehicle involved was assessed at the scene and later discharged.”

“Those patients requiring further hospital treatment were taken by land ambulance to Worcester Hospital.”
