A MAN was left with head injuries after being attacked with garden tools during a road rage incident in Dudley.
Two men assaulted the driver of a Vauxhall Vectra after a row which broke out in Meadow Road at around 9am on January 28.
The driver of a red Transit van attacked the 50-year-old with a rake while the van’s passenger left set about the victim with a spade.
The pair eventually made off in the van leaving the victim needing stitches to his head.
PC Paul Hadley from Dudley police, said: "This was a ferocious attack in broad daylight, shortly after rush hour.
"We believe there was a black vehicle directly behind the Vectra and I would urge the driver to come forward to help us with our enquiries."
The driver of the Transit van is described as white, five-feet-ten with a chubby build and short brown hair.
He was wearing navy blue jeans with a padded blue jacket and a red t-shirt. His passenger is described as the same height but of a slim build wearing a black coat with the hood up and a high vis vest. Both men are in their 30s.
