A BRAND new stage adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s seminal novel Brave New World arrives at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre tonight (Tuesday November 3).
Touring Consrotium Theatre Company and Royal & Derngate Northampton present the ingenious fantasy of the future, which will burst into life on stage in a world premiere adaptation by award-winning playwright Dawn King with original background score by These New Puritans.
Audiences will be taken on an emotional rollercoaster journey into a future, which sheds a blazing light on the present and witness the horrors of a genetically engineered class system, a World State where people are always happy; where they get what they want, where love and empathy have given way to lust and pleasure and a world without religion or war.
But when the beautiful young Lenina learns the pain of love and the handsome young John gives in to the love of pain, does the World Controller lose control?
Or does Lenina finally find her voice?
The show will run until Saturday (November 7).
Ticket prices start from £10.50 and are available by clicking here.
